Thank you for choosing DriveU Transportation. We want your airport pickup experience to be simple, smooth, and stress-free.
Before Your Arrival
The evening before your scheduled pickup, you will receive a text message from DriveU.
This text message will be your direct line of communication with your driver from arrival through pickup.
Please keep this message thread available during your trip.
Step 1: Let Us Know You've Landed
Once your flight has arrived at Gerald R. Ford International Airport (GRR) and you are able to use your phone, please send a quick text message to your DriveU driver:
"Just landed."
This allows us to monitor your arrival and prepare for pickup.
Step 2: Collect Your Luggage
Please proceed to baggage claim and collect all luggage and personal belongings before requesting vehicle pickup.
Once you have gathered your bags and are heading toward the terminal exit, send your driver a second text message:
"I have my luggage, and I'm heading outside."
This is the signal for your driver to leave the airport staging area and proceed to the pickup location.
Step 3: Meet Your Driver
DriveU pickups take place in the designated airport rideshare pickup lane located next to the airport rideshare building.
Your driver will provide:

Vehicle photo

Driver name (if applicable)
This allows you to easily identify your DriveU vehicle upon arrival.
Why Drivers Wait in the Staging Lot
GRR Airport requires transportation providers to utilize designated staging areas and limits waiting times in active pickup zones.
To avoid unnecessary airport parking fees and comply with airport policies, DriveU drivers remain in the airport staging lot until passengers are ready to exit the terminal.
This process helps ensure a quicker and more efficient pickup experience.

Flight Delays, Cancellations & Airport Pickup Policy
Flight Monitoring
DriveU monitors scheduled flight arrival times whenever possible. However, passengers remain responsible for communicating any flight delays, cancellations, itinerary changes, or missed connections.
Delayed Flights
If your flight is delayed, DriveU will make reasonable efforts to adjust your pickup time.
Pickup adjustments are subject to:

Existing reservations
-
Operational schedules
-
Vehicle availability
While we will do our best to accommodate delayed arrivals, adjusted pickup times cannot be guaranteed.
Missed Pickup Times
If a passenger's flight delay, cancellation, missed connection, baggage delay, or other travel issue causes them to miss their scheduled pickup time, DriveU will attempt to reschedule the reservation based on availability.
If no alternate transportation option is available, the reservation will be considered fulfilled and no refund will be issued.
Flight Cancellations
DriveU is not responsible for:

Airline delays

Personal travel plan changes
-
Flight cancellations
-
Missed connections
-
Airline schedule changes
-
Weather-related travel disruptions
-
Airport operational delays
-
Baggage claim delays
These circumstances are outside of DriveU's control.
Reservation Changes
Reservations affected by airline disruptions may be modified only if:

Advance notice is provided

Vehicle availability exists
-
The modification does not negatively impact other DriveU customers
DriveU reserves the right to decline schedule changes that interfere with previously scheduled reservations.
No Refund Policy
Transportation reservations are based on reserved vehicle time, driver scheduling, and operational commitments.
As a result:

No refunds will be issued for missed flights.

No refunds will be issued for cancelled flights.

No refunds will be issued for airline delays.
-
No refunds will be issued for missed connections.
-
No refunds will be issued when a passenger is unable to travel due to circumstances outside of DriveU's control.
DriveU Commitment
Although airline disruptions are outside of our control, DriveU will always make reasonable efforts to assist customers and provide alternative transportation solutions whenever possible.
Our goal is to be flexible, fair, and helpful while maintaining reliable service for all scheduled passengers.
Electric Forest Transportation & Arrival Policy
Due to the unique nature of festival traffic, road closures, law enforcement traffic control, and campground access restrictions, arrival routes and drop-off locations may vary based on real-time conditions.

Whenever practical, DriveU will deliver passengers directly to their requested destination, including:

Traffic Management Policy
During peak arrival periods, particularly on Wednesday and Thursday, traffic conditions may create significant delays entering festival grounds.
To provide the best overall customer experience and maintain reliable transportation schedules, DriveU reserves the right to utilize alternate drop-off locations near festival grounds when:

Traffic delays become excessive

Road access is restricted
-
Law enforcement or festival staff redirect traffic

Direct access would create unreasonable delays
Alternate Drop-Off Locations
If an alternate drop-off location is required, passengers will be delivered as close as reasonably possible to their intended destination while maintaining safe and efficient transportation operations.
