About DriveU
Raising the Standard for Personal Transportation
DriveU was founded with a simple goal: to provide a transportation experience that people can truly depend on.
Why DriveU Was Created
The founder of DriveU established the company after gaining over 7 years of experience as a rideshare contractor for Uber and Lyft. Throughout his time on the road, he observed consistent passenger complaints, including subpar vehicle quality, uncomfortable experiences with drivers, and inconsistent service.
After completing thousands of rides for Uber and Lyft, our founder recognized a growing problem in regional transportation, especially for airport travelers.
DriveU Was Founded Because:
Solving Regional Service Gaps: App-based rideshares frequently fail riders outside downtown Grand Rapids, leaving the surrounding West Michigan suburbs and Lakeshore communities with long wait times, high cancellations, or zero driver availability.
Providing Uncompromising Reliability: Passengers need guaranteed, punctual transportation, especially for critical trips like early-morning airport transfers, scheduled events, and long-distance travel, without relying on the roll of the dice with gig-economy drivers.
Delivering a Professional Experience: Premium transportation requires clean, well-maintained vehicles and courteous, dedicated drivers who prioritize customer comfort and professionalism over basic gig delivery standards.
Ensuring Rider Safety & Peace of Mind: Providing safe, vetted, and trustworthy transportation ensures families, professionals, and visitors can travel across the region with complete confidence.
Connecting the West Michigan & Lakeshore Footprint: Bridging the transportation divide between Grand Rapids, outer Kent County, and the Lakeshore shoreline to make regional mobility seamless and hassle-free.
Our Mission
"DriveU is dedicated to making professional, reliable, and safe transportation accessible across West Michigan and the Lakeshore. We bridge regional transit gaps by delivering punctual, elevated service that connects our communities with total peace of mind."
DriveU understands the importance of high-quality vehicles, excellent communication, and consistent customer service that keeps clients returning for reliable, professional ride services.
We focus on addressing common pain points: vehicle comfort, safety, and seamless interactions. DriveU provides luxury rides and a trustworthy, elevated experience for every passenger. At DriveU, we don’t just offer rides; we create memorable journeys.
Ride In Luxurious, Safe SUVs
At DriveU, we understand that when customers invest in ride services, they expect more than just transportation. Passengers want to be picked up in a clean, safe, and enjoyable vehicle that elevates their day on the way to their destination.
